For those of you waiting on word about Matt's concert May 15 in LA, I found the following on twitter. La Canada is in the hills 20 miles or so north of LA. Who lives in LA and is going? It's free!

This location is a new AT&T store, sort of large-ish from looking at it on Google Maps, but it's still not going to hold a lot of people. I called the store, and they said they would be setting up a stage inside. Apparently the exact plans are still being ironed out. Just a word of caution to people who want to go -- you might want to get there early.

I wish it were near me. I'm glad Matt's getting out there. He needs to do more shows, building up to his first single. The collabo news is interesting!

Dang! If it were a week later, I'd be all over it! He finally comes close to me & I Have to study for finals. Bummer. I'm sure he'll be great though, & will definitely gain some new fans that day.

Someone at this concert said Matt told them he recorded something with "Jen Britt", and it is quoted on the mgiraudfans twitter. Who is "Jen Britt"?
Or was anyone at the concert who knows what Matt said?

Jim Brickman's pretty big on ballads and such! I hope he writes a huge hit for Matt.

Oh thank goodness! Jim Brickman is a whole lot more impressive than Jen Britt! :-)
I assume this collaboration prompted the trip last week to Nashville. If so, I wonder how and when they'll release the song?
I love how all these talented and successful music people want to work with Matt. It is a great sign for his longevity in the music business, and the music he is putting together is so good because of it.

Slowly but surely Matt is establishing his footing the music biz. It's hard for us fans...all the wait. I guess we just have to know this is the kind of artist Matt is, a perfectionist. Jim Brickman is a piano man, so I hope the collaboration will highlight Matt's skills even more.
