Another idea...

So I've been told that besides Matt, I'm the next best person to spread the word on Twitter since I have a lot of followers (MattsFTLs). Though I have more than most, 600 still isn't many when you think about how many fans Matt actually has. If we could somehow get more followers, the word would spread even faster. I thought about sending Matt a DM asking him to tell people to follow MattsFTLs since I've done a lot of promoting over the past year and a half but I'm not sure if I wanna bother him with that...

I also wanted to say I appreciate those of you who DM me and send me messages on here with your ideas and requests for me to tweet or retweet things. I work full time and also go to school so I have a lot to keep up with! But I love promoting Matt and will continue to do so.

So anyway, if anyone has ideas for how to get more followers, that's a start for reaching out to more people.

Christina, that's a great idea asking Matt. And also Tiffany on the Facebook fanpage? It has more than 29,000 followers. Maybe she can point FB users to the MattsFTLs FB page? Who controls the MattsFTLs account on FB?

THANK YOU for everything you do! I know with work and then school coming up, most of us will be even more hard pressed for time. We'll try to work it out and work together.

That's ok. Tiffany can point the FB followers to Twitter @MattsFTLs. And please don't worry if you're not able to tweet stuff right away. You're doing a LOT!

I think your idea is great. There is a need for a twitter account that has decent reach to Matt's fans and is not Matt's. For example, I think kaaddicts is a similar one for Kris. Matt could tweet something about requesting the song and a link to MattsFTLs if he is willing. Today is a perfect day because he could mention "Thank You" is closing this week's chart at #25. A similar posting on his Facebook page would make it possible for us to point to the twitter account.

I agree with doing anything that increases Matt's fan base! He's amazing and we need as many people exposed to his music as possible. Obviously anything that Matt does himself will garner a lot more attention than anything we can do - so Matt mentioning either the FTL twitter, or this website which has all the information about Matt, would be great. I noticed that Danny Gokey just tweeted about a fan site as a shoutout to his fans - well it made me go look.

It lists "must-see music videos." I don't know how to get music featured on there, but I think we need to find out!

I sent them a message asking how it works with a link to my video of the live performance of Thank You. Hopefully they'll feature it!

And I have linked this website to the MattsFTLs twitter page. I've also tweeted a few times telling people to join or at least check it out!
