Hi everyone,
Matt really needs some new stations to add and play "Thank You", so can we push real hard to get this Detroit station on board? We need to send a bunch of stuff right away so that they will play it in the next few days and add it on Monday. Here are some things you can do:
* Get the number of views up on this video. It is already pushing 200 views after less than one day, which is really solid. MJ posted it, and everyone is going crazy about it, even people who aren't us! Add comments to the video, too. * Send mail to DJs and program director thanking them for having Matt, telling them you loved the acoustic "Thank You" and encouraging them to keep playing it. I have been requesting Thank You with WNIC since it was released with no luck. I pretty much email Theresa Lucas everyday!!
Another email is for the afternoon DJ: Kristin Burns. KristinBurns@clearchannel.com.
She actually responded to my email yesterday saying she would "look to see if we have it" and asked where I was listening from. This is more than I ever got from Theresa, who has never responded to any of my emails. I still haven't heard it and haven't seen that they have played it since I requested but the more people that request, hopefully they will!!
I also add 1003wnic on Twitter and request the song there. They Retweeted my tweet to them yesterday requesting Thank You, but never played it.
They also have a Facebook page. I left a comment on the page thanking them for having Matt on the show. Kristin Burns (afternoon DJ) liked my comment. <---This is why I think we need to focus on her too. She responds to all communications.

Thanks for all the details. I updated my other posts with them. It seems that your hard work may be about to pay off. I looked at the video again and it has over 300 views, and it was below 200 about 30 minutes ago!

It is hard to for me to do this at work on my phone, and I don't have the link, but if someone could follow 1003wnic on Twitter. And tweet the You Tube video of Matt's performance on Jay Towers and include @1003wnic in the tweet, I bet they will retweet it. And this will go to a ton of people that follows 1003wnic.

Haha pasnthru! I was focused on Matt, so I missed this the first time I watched the video. She is all serious and businesslike at the beginning, and completely into it/him by the end. And then after he finishes, Matt flirts with her to seal the deal. I hope she gets to decide whether they play the song! (Meanwhile, Jay the male DJ was pretty impressed, too.)
And Mary mentions that the number of views on the video is pushing 500! Wow! This already far exceeds views on any other video on the station's youtube channel. I hope someone at WNIC is paying attention because they need to play the song.

Cute picture! I like Jay Towers, he is a great radio personality here in Detroit. I really hope since he liked Matt so much that he will get Thank You on the air.

I just sent them some links to Matt's performances at Auburn Hills a year ago (one of Jenna's where Matt is talking to the crowd, and another of "Hard to Handle"). I don't know if it will do any good, but the crowd is going crazy in those!
