Let's Get It On

Matt goes into the audience to get his ring that went flying into the audience when he was out there singing I'll Be Around. haha! This was so much fun!!

A huge, huge thanks to Mary and Jenna for staying up into the wee hours so that we could wake up to these wonderful videos. (And also for the livestream, which I listened to for almost the entire concert.) I'm bummed that I have to go to work right now and can't watch all them! "Brand New Day" sounds amazing -- he managed to get the audience involved. Love the name change story. "Brand New Day" is a much better name!

This concert just looks like it was so much fun. Last night I saw the video below posted to MattsFTLs, and I was stunned to see Matt walking around the audience singing and dancing. Lucky, lucky people who got to go to this concert, and I hope Matt can have more of these.

And mattyfan, thanks for posting the fantastic review. I hope folks take notice because Matt is such an incredible performer, and slowly, slowly he is getting the recognition he deserves.

You're welcome, I am happy I was able to take some videos to share with you all...well actually Jenna took most of them with my video camera, which was awesome! Thanks Jenna! You are a great video taker sidekick! Why did I tell you not to record Baby Girl again?! LOL! My brain wasn't working properly.

Jenna asked me to share this because it is pretty funny!

One of my favorite moments of the night was at the meet and greet. I was talking to Matt and he asked me what I thought about him coming out into the audience during I’ll Be Around at sound check. He was wondering how it was going to go over at the actual show. So I told him I thought it was great, the crowd is going to love it, etc, etc. So then he was all excited and says “I am just going to come out during the show and start laying across people”. As he says this he leans back onto the stage to mimic doing it. LOL! This was so cute!!!

It was a great meet and greet, it was nice to have a few minutes to actual stand there and chat with him and not feel that you had to rush through a line. <3 He was very talkative and in such a great mood, I loved it!

Oh and just FYI, he didn’t come out and lay across anybody. LOL!

That was such a great moment! He was so relaxed and at ease talking with you! I really liked seeing him interact with his fans. He is very sweet, funny, and charming! And it was definitely a much better atmosphere than the meet and greets behind the table! I will write up a recap tomorrow Very Happy

That's so sweet! I can imagine him being excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time. Like how he was on Idol! That was a fabulous idea to come down to the audience. It always works wonders in livening up a show. Just sucks a little for those up in the balcony/mezzanine who can't see what's happening, but I think it's worth it! He should do it often. It seems he's getting better and better at interacting with the audience (from what I can see from videos/livestream).
