Ah, thanks for the link, jenna!

That lady got a hug and kiss from Matt in addition to all those pretty pictures. I think Matt looks so hot there in the gray shirt, and some chest showing! Ooh-la-la! Very Happy

And, WOW! You can see his DIMPLES in a lot of these photos. Kris looks cute, but Matt is EFFIN' HOT! bounce

Then Matt came out-another one of those idols I didn’t really care for on the show-but he sounded great!

From MJ's...

Quote :
Matt really was great I thought. Nerves seemed to get to him on the show but he seemed to be right in his element. He really commands the stage and sang his heart out on Georgia. He put on his fedora during some part – that boy has some swagga too.

Next up group time- Sarver was better on Suspicious minds. I absolutely loved the dueling pianos. Idol really made a mistake not keeping that in the finale because that was just cool. Both of them were really into it.

I just listened to some of Matt's pre-idol music and it's pretty good. I was most surprised at his performance at the Dallas AI show since I only started watching AI right about the time he was voted off. Hope he gets a contract.

I love that he is winning over so many people! He really is making the most of this tour! cheers

Another review from AI...

Quote :
have to say they all sounded better to me than on the show. Lil surprised me with much better stage presence, as did Danny (my husband will disagree with this... Megan and Danny were his least favorites of the concert). Allison, Matt, and Kris were even better than I had hoped. That Allison has a ton of energy and really put on a good show. So did Matt. Kris was actually more energetic than I expected, since I knew he was playing instruments during all of his songs. I loved his set! I enjoyed the show more than I expected to, and I think part of that had to do with the fact that I got to meet some of the idols I wasn't expecting to enjoy, earlier in the day. I met Michael, Scott (and his bro), Matt and Kris. And let me tell you they were all really sweet and fun. And GORGEOUS. I don't know how people look so much better in person than on TV, but I swear almost every idol I've ever met has sort of stunned me with their good looks upon seeing them in person. Matt even sang a little of Human Nature to me and the girl next to me! hee!

So Matt and Kris both looked like total rockstars when they came out to sign in the afternoon. Kris was in all black, including his sunglasses, and has the softest looking hair I've ever seen. It was like a fluffy plush stuffed animal. And Matt has a cool looking mohawk haircut thing going on and that swagger I loved on the show. He just sort of struts. He's a lot taller than I expected! And so is Scott. Scott was a real sweetie and when you talk to him his eyes zone right in on yours. It was so intense! I know he has the ability to see a very tiny bit, so I guess that makes his focus especially tight. It was cool to experience, if that's not uncool to say. I'm happy that he seems completely unfazed by his disabililty and is a great inspiration to me after seeing him in action in person. Michael Sarver is incredibly handsome in person, and much taller and thinner than I expected. Matt was really having fun out there... he's a charmer! After he sang (all on his own accord, by the way... he had just signed a cd that had that song on there) he did a Mickey Mouse voice for me and that same girl because she had a Disney autograph book. I really like Matt, and I had been following his tweets and how excited he was to come to Dallas, so I was especially looking forward to meeting him. He was one of my early favorites and I have to tell you he was fantastic in the show. A real showman and his piano chops and voice were fantastic.

It looks they cut off the mole rather than burned it off by the looks of the scar. I wonder why?

I clipped a little article from Us Weekly about Matt having surgery (for the mole) some time in June. There are before and after pictures (the after is especially cute). I tried to scan it so I can bring it here but couldn't. It wouldn't scan the pictures. I'll try scanning it again today (before hubby arrives - he thinks I'm going overboard with my Mattmania)...

Generally, you don't burn things off on the faceznyway. In addition, it was fairly rapidly growing so they probably sent it for path and needed clean margins. All speculation on my part.

Awww. I knew he got rid of the mole but I did not know he was left with a scar! Will that scratch go away?
In anycase, I am glad he got to remove it. He looks happy and must feel so relieved.

I believe that surgery helped him reagain his confidence back. Moles sometimes can be do dangerous. He looks so amazing now.
I LOVE him. He looks so happy! Good for him. I prefer Matty without hats so I am happy he decided to do this.

Well, I hate to keep focusing on the subject of Matt's mole, but since y'all brought it up...

I'm glad that Matt removed it because moles can be malignant and could have become a serious health issue, as many of you have noted. I hope Matt got a clean bill of health after the surgery! cheers

That's what REALLY PISSED me off when I used to read those nasty comments about Matt on VFTW, Idletard, MJ's, Rickey's, TWOP, etc. I could understand if they were bashing Matt because they thought he was a jerk, or if they didn't like his voice. But to have to resort to calling him names (which I won't repeat here) based on something that had nothing to do with his personality or his singing was just WAY OUT OF LINE and in bad taste. But that's no surprise considering these are the same people who laughed and said they were waiting to see if Scott ever fell off the stage or bumped into anyone during the group songs! And these are the same sites where they made terrible remarks like Danny's wife probably died so she could get away from him! WTF??? Mad

I guess the Matt-haters have to keep referring to his mole (which is obviously GONE NOW) because there really isn't anything else they can use as an insult! Is he a d****bag? No, Matt has proven to be sweet and humble. Does he blow off the fans? No, he takes time to sign autographs before and after shows. Is he a talentless hack who doesn't belong on the tour? No, he's been an audience favorite and one of the highlights of the concerts. So I guess they have to bring up something that doesn't even exist anymore (YEAH, I'M LOOKING AT YOU MJ's BLOG!). Agree with you on the haters - but in the end, they will always find something to hate. MJ had a poll asking if people missed the mole. This is from a 50+ yo woman who runs the site like a Nazi - banishing anyone who dares to step out of line. Some will always find fault with Matt - and in the end I think we just need to learn to ignore them. I used to get upset about the mole, or bitch face, or scorned Matt comments. I don't know the guy from Adam (pun intended) but in my extremely careful and thorough monitoring of the man (not to mention in talking to a couple of people who actually know him), I have concluded that he is smart, funny, loyal, charming, attractive, and most of all talented. I am absolutely comfortable that I am right, and they are all completely wrong.

Totally my sentiments! Forget the talk about the mole or anything else not related to Matt's music. He's getting rave reviews from critics and fans alike. There will always be small-minded people who will pick on something STUPID because they can't really deny/attack/criticize the truth that Matt is VERY talented and he's going to succeed. I hate the anonymity(sp?) of the internet because it allows people to say things that they would amost NEVER say in person. It is often a forum for rude/lude/obnoxious comments. Matt is the BEST!!!
