I heard it Jenna! He was incredible tonight once again! I think he followed our advice for You Found Me. I wouldn't be surprised that he read our opinions about it! He sang it in his Matty voice ! Loved it. Can't wait for the reviews. The crowd was loving it!
I am so excited for his career! Solo tour and solo debut album. He is so damn talented.
He will be signed! I just know it! You got my letter right?

I'm so happy and proud to hear all these positive feedback! It's great that Matt is singing YFM in his natural tone, just like in the studio recording. Awesome!!!
I can't wait for Matt's solo tour.

Wow what an asshole! I hate journalists that try to make themselves sound too cool for school! Like they say if you can't do then you review!
Matt Giraud's got a good voice, but by this time I couldn't help but think that, record deal or not, time will forget most of these performers, and they'll take their place in obscurity, just above cynical music writers.
Quote :
Still, as talented as every one of these performers is, this "showcase" felt too much like an extension of the televised version. Like a talent show, without the train wrecks we've come to know and love.
He pretty much dogged everyone except for Allison and Adam but anyone who calls Adam a rockstar in the making loses respect from me. Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down, Staind, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Jim Morrison, are rockstars not some I should be on a Broadway stage somewhere performing and playing dress up. LOL this guy even admits that's where Adam should be...
Quote :
If anyone's a rock star in the making, it's this guy. Sure, his rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" sounded a bit showy (think Sebastian Bach rather than Robert Plant), but this kid's got a serious set of pipes. (Although, for some reason, I kept thinking I was the evildoer in a Andrew Lloyd Weber goth musical.)
Well at least he admitted Matt has a good voice!

People loved Matt, he got a huge applause after the first song, he did good for the rest 2 songs. People loved the group song Begging, there was some choreographed moves that went pretty well with the singing.

Michigan-born Matt Giraud was the first performer to look like a viable recording artist. The crowd, full of families, middle-aged women and pre-teens, swooned collectively when he bust out some slick piano skills during a stirring performance of “Georgia on my Mind.”
This made me feel so happy! You guys he can do this. If he keeps getting reviews like this and performing like he has been he just has to get signed!
Damn it he belongs performing in the second half not with Scott, Michael, and Megan, Lil, and Anoop. He is just as talented as the top 4 and more talented than a few of them!

Found more about the little boy who loves Matt. I thought it was so sweet!
OK, so I dunno if anyone noticed my post about this last night, but the little kid from this post was at the Tacoma show yesterday. I guess he LOVES Matt. In addition to the Kradison video, his mom also posted this LOL video of him singing about Matt.
So anyway, his mom wrote that he cried when she told him meeting Matt at the show wasn't guaranteed, and I noticed her sending Matt questions on twitter last night about where the idols were signing autographs afterwards. Matt tweeted her back before the show was even over, and I guess it all worked out cause the kid got to meet him at the buses.
From the mom's twitter:
@MGiraudOfficial You are the best ever....for real. What u did for my son last night is unforgetable..things like this make you THE A.I. thx
@FTL10JKRio hehe. Thanks! Matt was really great with him. He sang him a song since my son sent that video to him "Matt will rock you"
@MattsFTLs He sang "Russell rocks, boom boom ch...Russell rocks, boom boom ch" and let my son wear his hat and talked to him.
@FTL10JKRio He is a great guy with kids. I was shocked. He made my son feel soooo special and he was on top of the world!
There is video over there of Matt talking to the little boy it is so sweet. Check it out!

-Then Danny and Matt came out. Matt was SO nice, he really took the time to talk to everybody and he seemed genuinely touched that we were all there. He did some weird little dance for us haha .. Danny pretty much spent all his time down at one end of the fence so I didn't see much of him...some girl asked him to sign the front of her shirt and he's all "uh..I don't know...I wanna respect you.." and she's like "sign the back then!" and he's like "OKAY!" haha.
-Scott came out next with an assistant. I LOVED Scott, he was so cute and nice and he took pictures with EVERYONE. I'm totally a big Scott fan now lol.
-Then Anoop came out and Matt was with him again. Anoop was really nice as well, but he didn't have much time to sign autographs 'cause they were getting called back for press. I got a picture with Matt this time! He smelled really good....
LOL there you go people who are obsessed about wanting to know what he smells like. Guess he smells really good!
This is from the same reviewer...

And Matt was AMAZING. His piano playing is freaking epic, and his "Georgia" practically b rought me to tears. I wasn't even a big fan of him on the show, but I'm totally sold now.
Who else is tearing up with all these great reviews and people being won over. This is exactly what we have been hoping for!

Just a comment..
Isn't it weird that all the people are gushing about what an amazing piano player Matt is and not Scott so much? I mean Scott has been classically trained for many many years and our Matt has never even had a lesson. Yup Matt is an amazing musician!

Matt's shining! It's wonderful non-fans are being won over. If they can see even just a portion of what we see in Matt, he'll be a STAR!

I'm feeling bummed out! No video of Matt's performance last night. Some of Adam (of course) and a couple of Allison but no Matt! Hopefully we will get some later today. Maybe someone will surprise me and when I come home for work something will be posted!

Just wanted to say it's quite frustrating that there aren't many Matt videos on youtube, and they're mostly Georgia. I hope we get to see the complete set soon with intro and all.

Here's a nice mention in a Vancouver review:

And, Jenna, I think Matt is wearing his Ed Hardy shirt in the vid. I paused it and can see the writing a little more clearly. He wore it somewhere before, maybe disneyland. I'd love to see him in our shirt!

From someone who lives miles away from USA, all my thanks to you Jenna and to the rest of Matt's fans here on the forum. Thanks for all the updates.
I'm so happy that Matt got good reviews. He's a great guy with so many talents. All my prayers to Matt and his future. By the look of it, I'm pretty sure records deals are on the talks right now. With the right song and great management team, I think Matt will soar high. Can't wait for it to happen
I was searching for uploads on youtube also but there's none
