Matty, it's like a dream to read this review. I am so thrilled for Matt. I am so sure he will be signed. But no matter what happens, our boy is going to be successful . Who the hell wouldn't want to go see him in concert??
WOW!! I fall more and more in love with YFM everytime I hear it.
And I agree, Matty, that the review from MJs really excited me. I was surprised to hear that Music industry people were at the Memphis show, and a little bummed for idols 10-7 who only received a luke warm welcome if that. I'm just glad that Matt rocked another show, and is FINALLY getting notice. News of a signing should be on it's way...
Wow he effing killed You Found Me at Memphis! Damn this man is so amazing. For the life of me I can't understand how the majority of people are saying it's the Adam Lambert show because Matt IMO is a trillion times better. God I love the way that man moves on the piano. American Idol fans are blinded by glitz and theatrics. Matt is THE American Idol! Seriously there has never been anyone like him on Idol. He really touches me when he sings and plays. I feel so connected to him when he performs! For some reason I am loving him even more today than normal...which is quite a bit!
Hey, all of us in the Giraud Squad knew Matt would be a star BEFORE the tour, so it's like everyone else is just catching up! I'm very excited to hear some music industry experts talk about Matt. Besides Adam and Allison, Matt is the only one who gives a MEMORABLE performance on the tour (JMO, of course). The rest of the Idols are decent to excellent singers and musicians (like Anoop and Kris), but Matt has stage presence and really connects with the audience. All of us would agree that Matt is the superior piano player in comparison to Scott and Kris. This article gives me a lot of hope that Matt will be signed soon enough; he certainly deserves it!
That YFM is just WOW. He is giving it all. It´s a perfect end to his set. The jaded,coldly calculating about commercial appeal people are seeing exactly what we are seeing.Matt is going be huge! It´s coming!

BTW, I have been reading that a lot of fans who went to the Memphis show were pissed off because the Idols didn't have as much time to spend meeting them. Since they had to do the Graceland tour earlier in the day, most of the Idols didn't have enough time before the show to sign autographs. Well, some people wrote that they appreciated that only MATT, Michael and Danny came out to sign and pose for pictures before the show. Unfortunately, all the Idols were whisked away to the airport after the concert, so many Memphis fans felt ripped off. Leave it to our Matty to be one of the Idols to please the crowds and calm the "angry mob"! LOL
Set Rankings (with group performances factored in)
1. Matt – Simply unbelievable. Had pretty high expectations heading in and he still managed to exceed them. His vocal control since the show has improved exponentially, and he’s unreal on the keys. I won’t go as far as to say unrivaled, but I can’t think of who I’d rather listen to on the piano.
He’s quite the showman – he gets up and moves around and even though it’s pretty much the same moves each show (from what I’ve gathered via YouTube) it still feels authentic. “Hard to Handle” was the best song of the night for me, and he & Scott on “Tell Her About it” was far better than I had anticipated even after watching it on YouTube from previous shows. “Georgia” was simple and fantastic as always, and the spirited rendition of “You Found Me” was better than what I remember from the show or previous studio recording.
But the biggest thing was the vocal control. Too often, it got away from him on the show, but he seems to have harnessed it. Put that with his showman skills and you’ve got a certified winner. I don’t know how he could make it through this tour without getting signed. He’s too good not to.

Thanks everyone for bringing such wonderful reviews over here. Now, Matt's not only the best in the first half of the show, but he's becoming the best in the entire show in many's eyes. Just as we thought! Can't wait for tonight's show.
The crowd was on their feet dancing and singing to Matt’s “Hard to Handle”. Best response of the first half! “Georgia” was amazing-Matt’s voice has texture and his piano playing was rocking! The crowd screamed wildly when he did the piano part. My cuz LOVED Matt. She kept saying, “Look at his legs”. Matt seems so comfortable on stage. Being behind the piano doesn’t cut down on his interaction with the audience. He sold his performance whether he was out front dancing (the boy has got some moves) or jamming behind his piano. The piano just seems to be an extension of him. My opinion of Matt has gone way up now that I have seen him live and I would love to see him do a whole show. I know my cuz would pay to see him do his own show! On the way home, she kept talking about how sexy he was and how she loved his legs.
Ummm I think someone here needs a Slutty Sally or BG number...LOL
Again it is so amazing that he is winning over so many new fans. The guy just has it! Like he said at his audition I have it in me I just have to be seen/heard. I love her description of his relationship with his piano!

Also the girl who feel in love with Matt and his legs is not an AI watcher. This to me is probably one of the best things I have read because in order for Matt to be successful he will need to gain fans outside of American Idol. So many idols (clay) have not been able to do this and their careers have sufferred because of this.
