I guess Matt was blazin HOT tonight. He got a bra! Ha. Daring lady.. I bet he was laughing at that. I am so happy with all these tweets! Everyone wants him signed. Yes.. It's just a matter of time I say.
And one girl said 'Better than the original?". I guess she meant "YFM". So exciting.

While Lambert, Gokey, Iraheta, and Matt Giraud were as excellent as expected, I have to give props to an unexpected source of showmanship and solid chops. Scott MacIntyre, who came rising out of the Boardwalk Hall stage with his piano, was pounding the keys with gusto on his two songs: "Bend" (Keane) and "A Thousand Miles" (Vanessa Carlton). We knew he could play but his song interpretations were equally impressive. Later, when he joined forces with Giraud for a double piano dose of Billy Joel’s "Tell Her About It," their joint exuberance was infectious and one of the evening’s highlights.
Some of the other highlights included Gokey’s "P.Y.T" and "What Hurts the Most," Allison and Adam sizzling together with Foghat’s "Slow Ride"; Allison's "Barracuda; Matt G. having a blast with "Hard to Handle" (including his Jerry Lee Lewis tribute pounding the piano); Anoop Desai's "Always on My Mind" and Kris’s dynamite reworking of Bill Withers’ "Ain’t No Sunshine."
This group of Idols, with as much talent as any previous season’s top five, has upped the ante with their group showmanship. I expect to hearing more from Adam, Kris, Allison, Danny, Matt and Anoop when their Idol umbrella is gone at the end of the tour

Well... Finally some reviews from Atlantic City. I am glad they gave Matt props although I would have to disagree with the Scott part. lol. Scott is a exciting as musical wallpaper and his voice just grates on my nerves.
I really like the part where they expect to hear from Matt after the tour wraps up. Hopefully at these NYC shows those rec exec finally get to decide upon Matt. GEez. It's about time.
Let's pray guys that Matt kills it in all these NY shows! And hopefully the crowd is receptive. Can't wait to see how it goes.

Ya I saw that in Matt's tweet ...he said "Tough crowd....tough crowd" and something about he is still going to play like everyone's gettin into it. So what were these damn people's problem?? Are they "too good" in Atlantic City or what??? Did anyone hear if they were also unresponsive to some of the other idols also?? Kinda crazy I think! How can you hear Matt bang on those piano keys to Hard to Handle and NOT get into it???

Hi Lisa, I read in a number of places today that people were told repeatedly by security to sit down. Many complaints on twitter and around. Matt tweeted today that he was sorry they were told to sit down but he had a good time anyway- so I think everyone has hopefully kissed and made up!

I read some comments at MJs site that discussed the fact the the casinos comp a lot of gamblers concert tickets. And that they get good tickets on the main floor. I think this is a logical explanation for why the crowd was lame. Those people had no real interest in the performers and were probably killing a few hours for free. Makes sense to me.

I think you're exactly right macigirl. Unlike most venues, where mostly fans are coming to watch this show, at Atlantic City there are lots of people there on vacation, gambling and drinking, and decide to take in a show (like you would in Vegas). So it stands to reason they might be less enthusiastic.

*sigh* If only he would--I don't think that's too much to ask, do you? I mean, all we're asking for is a little "visual verification". Inquiring minds want to know.
