Saw Matt in NY & NJ

This is absolutely the right place to post this! Thanks for the photos as well - we can never see too many of those.
I think you highliht some of what a lot of us hink is special about Matt. Not only is he an incredible musician, but he truly appears to be a genuineand nice human being who is truly appreciative of his opportunity and the fans who made it possible.

I am also happy to see that there are others going to multiple concerts. I don't feel quite as nuts right now!

You are new here? Where have you been. OMG thanks for sharing your story. You know I saw him in Charlotte and he recognized another fan that I happened to run into that night. She is constantly tweeting him and such - before i met him i was too shy and felt it was kind of silly of me - but after seeing how sweet he was to her I was mad at myself. So after I met him I've been messaging him alot more - but I guess i should also do it more on f/b! I would faint too if he rubbed my hand. I think - not sure cuz of the trance i was in - that when I took my picture with him we had our arms around each other - becasue then that would explain how I was able to Pat his back as he walked away and I thanked him for coming back especially to take a picture with my daughter and then with me!

He is so sweet - he does recognize his fans.

Cecilie - when you see this gurl - start bubbletweeting him and such so that when he sees you in Grand Rapids he'll know you - and you can tell him you the one that came all the way from Denmark just to see him!

You are so lucky seeing him in several shows. That continued that nice connection between you two. You lucky girl!

I am so jealous of you - really - see the fact that you had all those shows within good driving distance!

I saw him in Atlanta - but bec of the mob was unable to have pics made with him - so me and my daughter drove 4 hours to charlotte the very next day. You know what - if i could have pulled it off i would have gone to Greensboro - that's the only shows that were close to where i live. I'm proud of myself for even making it to them, because i never do stuff like that - first concert i've been to in over 20 years! sad.

Many of the gals on here are going to Grand Rapids to see it cuz they live in or around michigan - except Cecilie - she's coming from DenmarK - i really want to go up there - but you talk about that would be a walk on the wild side for me. Coming all the way from Georgia to GR to see Matt for the third time! LOL

If i were single - i'd do it in a heartbeat - but i have to consider the hubby's feelings and input since he is the one that makes the bucks - not me.

OHHHH and I wanted to add that the third picture in your collage - Holy Batman - looks like ya'll are about to smooch!!!!

Glad that Matt is everything that we (meaning those of us who have not yet met him) are hoping him to be. He seems to have an immense amount of love to give to his fans - and the fact that he remembered you is amazing and really shows that he cares. Good for you!!

Your post has inspired me to be bold at the concerts. I am going to 4 concerts in the few weeks and I was thinking that I may feel shy when I see him. My friends would laugh that I could be shy but I think I would be if he was in front of me. So i will go for it and make a complete fool of myself. I don't care!!! I was actually embarrassed to tell friends/fam when I decided to go to the 3rd and 4th concerts recently and I almost didn't go out of embarrassment. AWESOME story!!! Love reading about other Matt lovers and their wonderful encounters with him!!!!! It's sooo nice to hear and read about all the nice gestures he does for his fans to show that he really does care and that his fans are the reason why he's out on tour performing almost everyday!! And yes, it also gives me a reason to be even more bold now that I got my 1st time jitters out of the way! And after seeing that pic of someone kissing him on the cheek....I may have to do that for my next pic with him

Then tell them that you are having the time of your life and feel like you are 18. That usually shuts them up because they can't for the life of them think of something they have done recently when they felt so good!

GO FOR IT, Cecilie! CARPE DIEM!!! It will be worth it... Matt has been making us feel young again, hasn't he? I think he's been the best rejuvenating cure for me! no pill or cream has ever made me "glow" like this.....

Went to a few shows in NJ & NY at Newrak 8/8 & 8/9 and L.I. NY on 8/12. I know crazy to go to so many but it's Matty's fault ha ha. He's like an addiction lol

Met Matt first time before concert on 8/8 in NJ. He was so sweet. Seemed like he recognized me too cause he goes "hey good to see ya" prob cause I'm always tweeting & myspace messaging him. He gave me a nice hug and we took pics. Gave him a NYC souvenier gift bag and a bracelette engraved with "The New Piano Man" on it. Had front row center stage seats so during his set he noticed my fedora hat and waved & pointed at me a couple times squuuueee!

Saw him again next day 8/9 and before concert he was the only one to come out and saw me there again waiting with my friends and says "Hey you did you enjoy the show last night?" and I said Yes so much I came back for more lol. He then signed my hat and gave me a sweet rub on my hand saying "thanks for the support I really appreciate it", OMG I almost fainted when he did that! Then during the show he pointed at us again. Also saw Rickey there form Rickey.org who was sitting right behind us and took pics with us. Such a sweet guy. After that show I got another great hug from Matt.

The L.I. show on 8/12 was great too. Went with a friend and met Rickey there again. Had an extra ticket for him so he joined us. Was so fun hanging out with him and seeing the show again. After the show Matt came out and noticed me again and signed my program on his lovely pic and added to Gloria on it. Then he started to sing my name to me *sigh* it was so cute. I said "I'll see you again" and he said "I hope so" and I said yea I will cause your like an addiction and I'll want more! OMG can't beleive I said that to him ha ha

Was so worth the expenses of seeing Matty perform and meeting him. Can't wait to do it again.

Hi Gloria..thank you for the awesome recap!! and the pics..OMG!! I can't believe how close you were to his face in that one ...I swear i think i would have had to turn my face real quick and kiss him on the cheek!! hahaha...well maybe not but its an awesome thought huh??
