I am so happy that Andrew Cook is such a big Matt fan.
I was a Cookie fan last year so you know those Cook boys are special to me. But Matt even more.
FWIW I think that Andrew's prediction that we will have a Matt Giraud CD sometime next year will be true. I still believe Matt will get signed by a major label, I just think it will take some time but it will happen.

I alsokeep reading recent tour blogs and most of the general AI fans, not necessarily Matt fans, think he absolutelydeserves a major deal ASAP. Please let it happen!

More about the signing issue. Matt seems determined to remain positive, but it didn't sound like he was any closer to being signed He did however state again that he was talking to Management and entertainment lawyers, and that this meant that there is definitely interest out there, there just hasn't been a deal yet, and his name isn't signed on a contract yet. I liked, also, the fact that he is using his contacts to his benefit and is wrting and talking to some about collaborations

I was thinking though, since alot of you here are going to his GR home concert, wouldn't it be great if right before he came out the whole crowd started chanting Sign Matt Giraud!! That would totally be awesome and get him in the right mood! I bet if enough people started the chant it would catch fire and the whole arena would get into it...

That would be even cooler than the trend thing on twitter. Hope people spread the word and chant it when Matt comes up the stage!

Anyways, I still hope all Matt fans trend #signmattgiraud once again on September 6th... If he trends again at #3 or so it would really make the mark to labels that people are willing to buy his music! He has so much potential,damn it!
What are the labels waiting for??? Gosh.. what a long process.
I love the fact that Matt is still positive though.. It will happen. Yay for still talking to lawyers and managers out there. There just had to be interest with his level of talent and potential. I am still way positive that sometime it will happen for him, even though we might have to wait as long as Jason Castro fans I know it will happen eventually.

Matt sounded very tired here. I hope he's recovered from all the excitement the past few days...with his hometown Detroit show which he admitted he was most nervous for. The interview sounds very hopeful. I seriously think labels are interested but Matt's fighting for his terms. That's why he wants to get some music done to show them the style he's going for.
