Single coming out next week!?!

I just heard Matt's radio interview that he tweeted about. He was singing the interview, which made it hard to understand, so I may have gotten this wrong, but i think he said his single was coming out next week!!! I hope the folks that are seeing him tomorrow can get the real scoop.


Also, I loved the Manny footage from Wednesday. It was definitely a good opportunity for Matt because he already got some visibility for it, and I do hope they'll show footage next season.

Well, I guess if you are Matt August 9 might be next week, but for the rest of us it is 2-1/2 weeks away. :-) But I am still very excited. It sounds like the strategy is to push this straight to radio and delay download release to create demand so it opens with big sales. Maybe? Because Jim Brickman has a large fan base and hugely successful sales, I am really hopeful this is going to be a major boost for Matt's career. Crossing my fingers...


I hope everyone at his concert tomorrow has a fabulous time and takes beautiful videos.

I think you have the right idea there, csprof, about the delayed download. That's awesome! It can only help Matt! I'm really excited for this opportunity he's been given. Jim Brickman is an "established" artist (as in the words of Matt). He's already living his dream.

Off to see Jamie Cullum tonight. Wishing Matt were there. I think it will happen someday. It's one of his dreams! But his gig with the Symphony tonight is just as HUGE. Cant' wait for the videos from that! Enjoy to everyone who's going!!

Does anyone here know how to help Matt get radio play when this single is released August 9? I've read other stuff before that says to request a song, but not a crazy amount and definitely not for a radio station not in your area. Have others here been through this before with another artist?
