I'm sorry it took so long for me to get around to doing this! It's the end of the semester so I have projects and papers and finals, plus work. I'm just sooooo busy! Naturally, the only free time I have is at 3 a.m. haha

There are only two words I'm not sure of, but I put what I think he is saying (those words are highlighted in red). The different lyrics from the airport version are highlighted in blue and I believe were just a flub because those words don't really make sense at that part. Either that or he meant to say "Knowing that I saw you FROM a million miles away". But I don't know, that still doesn't really make sense.

The story of this song is that he had an ideal girl (a dream girl) that he expected to find someday but a girl came into his life that ended up being much better than his dream girl. I really think this song is about his current girlfriend. And I think a lot of his other songs are about his ex girlfriend because they talk about a lot of breakup issues. I love how he is writing music that reflects his life because it is truly coming from his heart and is precisely why his lyrics are so great. The music is great too. Like, in Dreams how it starts out kind of quiet and builds up. I think the part where the music starts getting louder reflects how intense his feelings are for her. I love it.

And, being that I am a HUGE lyric person I can now say I love this song even more. I knew that it sounded great when I heard but the lyrics made me fall in love. New #1 favorite for me!

Thanks Christina! I was wondering which version was correct but now that the lyrics have been figured out I'm thinking the version at Grace Spring Church might be correct because they just make more sense.

I agree Christina I felt the song was about his current girlfriend as well. I also love that he writes from his heart! I think that's what makes his music so incredible! I have always loved his passion and soul!

I also hear "Girl, I want forever with you..."

I think "Now I want forever with you" is a better lyric and IMO is more in context with the song. Why would he forget her when he is with her?

So Matt if the line is "Girl I won't forget you yeahhh" you can have my line free of charge and you don't have to give me song writing either lol!

Ohhh mattyfan is onto something! Maybe it is girl instead of now so maybe we both are a little right?


Hopefully next show we will get a better audio of the song and Matt will sing it clearer!

It probably is "Girl I want forever with you" because I definitely heard the word "girl" and when I heard "won't", it's probably "want" and I heard "for -- ???" so it's probably forever instead of forget... but that's why I highlighted it in red! I wasn't sure on that word.

Well I am going to fill in the first post with the new figured out lyrics. If we learn later they are something else we can simply change it! Thanks guys!!!
