Hahaha...OK NOW I FEEL STUPID! What happened was when I was watching the Group Medley Video the FIRST time it messed up part way thru so I had to advance it a lil and so I never saw when Sarver walked out and started singing the dang song! Plus the more i looked at him I could tell it wasn't our Matty.....damn! That would have been soooo awesome IF MATT WAS SINGING THAT SONG!! ughhh...But I Must say Sarver did pretty good on it and kinda nailed it at the end (at least the short part of the song he sang)...But I did get pretty excited when I seen Matt singing and DANCING AGAIN there at the front of the stage with the others at the end..I swear this waiting and doing all this following is going to absolutely drive me crazzzzy by the time I get to MY SHOW! Exciting News!!! (I think)... I don't know if this means anything but if you look at the views on youtube ..besides Mr King Adam getting outrageouly high views on his videos..blahhhh to Mr Drama King.....Matt has gotten 2.744 views on his "Hard to Handle" ..while Kris has only gotten 2,211 views on his Hey Jude Video and Allison has gotten 2,725 on her "So What"...I didn't really look at all of the videos to compare but just noticed this!!!
Guys I think everyone is hearing about how freakin awesome Matt was on Hard to Handle!!!..It looks like he is at least beating even the winner of Idol out (which I know isn't saying much BUT still) I'M SOOO PROUD OF HIM!!
LOL, Crazy, no worries! I've not had a chance to watch everything all the way through, so I haven't seen that part, but I can understand confusing Sarver for Matt on a far away, fuzzy vid. With distorted sound, no less.
Wish they would film the concert and sell the DVD. I'd be first in line to buy it.

I enjoy reading the comments so much for the tube. Lots of Matt Love--yeah, that song was a MASTER stroke of genius on Matt's part!
His twitter is getting more crazy everyday-- up to over 35,000 now! But I am worried- seems he has slowed down on his tweets--- hopefully, it's because he is so busy and not getting freaked out by some of those MAD FOR MATTY tweets!!
The white shirt, the pants, the band on his arm, that's like an old club piano player from waaayyy back in the day, before any of us were born! It's a subtle and charming throwback, and I so appreciate him for doing it! AND, dang, them pants....
So Flicker you liked them pants did you?
I was wondering what that thing around his arm was? I didn't know what it was but I thought it was damn sexy!
LOL crazy excited much. Definitely go to more than one show! I know I am!
Yesterday when I was reading over at MJ's I saw a post where this person was reviewing the concert at Portland and she said Adam was the best dressed. I was like ummm are you serious? I just love Matt's style! Adam looks like he is trying to play the role of a 1980's hairband rocker...Just sayin!
Oh and by the way the reviewer said Matt's HTH was the most surprising.
I loved his style. It was spot-on(can it be said that way?)It reminded me from the all crazy, high-energy saloon piano players I have seen in old western movies, lol. And the pants, holy whatever, tailored just perfect..I wonder do they have different kind of versions of the basic style in the tour, those darker pants which Matt wore in the press before the first show kind of had the same style.Lol I'm such a nerd..
Early standouts of the night included Anoop Desai, whose reprise of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" knocked it out of the park for hard-core fans, and Matt Giraud, who kicked up the energy with The Black Crowes' "Hard to Handle." Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre, Megan Joy and Michael Sarver stayed close to their signature sounds from the Idol stage, delivering solid performances that made many fans wish they'd power-texted a little bit faster.
Hey everybody–don’t miss seeing Matt Giraud on Georgia. I thought I’d be bored so I almost didn’t click. Just great.
He is definitely going to win over so many new fans this summer. This girl just watched a video so imagine the impact he is going to have on a live audience!
Okay, I'm sorry I haven't come on sooner to tell y'all about my concert experience. I just got home yesterday and completely crashed! But I've been kind of scanning the comments and reviews, so I'd thought I'd give you my personal opinions, from a concertgoers perspective.
I actually had pretty decent seats. Floor section, row 40. I was about a basketball court's length away from the stage. I'll start by saying that this crowd was totally biased towards Adam. Period. Every time they'd flash all the Idols' pictures one after another, Adam would consistantly get the loudest cheers, followed by not so many for whoever's pic followed his. I suspected this would be the case, as Adam has that edgy emo/goth/pop punk vibe that people around here are into.
But I'm not here to talk about Adam! Anyways, the concert started off pretty calm. Y'all are right in assuming that the crowds in Portland are more reserved. It's true. It's been like that for almost every concert I've ever attended. You expect bedlam, but people for the most part aren't crazy fanatical. So, it was kind of warming up during the first half, but nobody was really on their feet, even for Lil's Single Ladies. It was weird. But.......when Matt's little video intro popped up on the screen, people started screaming like crazy and standing up. I was with my best friend, and we both looked at eachother like, "Woah, the crowd just woke up!". At this point, I was so anxious, and when I saw how people were reacting, I felt really proud. Dumb as it sounds, I felt proud of Matt.
So, the stage is dark, but then we hear beatboxing. Matt came onstage beatboxing! Loved that. When the music started for HTH, I immediately smiled, because it totally clicked for me. So THIS is what Matt has been trying to explain! I fully get the soul/rock angle now, and I have to say it really works. Matt, as I see most of you agree, KILLED that song. His energy and soulfulness just broke out and consumed that stage. The crowd ate it up. NOW we were at a concert! After HTH, (which by the way, was a perfect song title to describe Matt, is it not?) Matt did his little chitchat about the next song being popular from Hollywood Week, and that it was a fan favorite, and sat down at the piano for Georgia. And he put on the fedora. It was fedorable! Now, this is when some reviewers thought the crowd lost it's energy, but I completely disagree. The crowd was still on it's feet, and I could hear these titterings all around, like people were marveling at how impressive Matt's piano playing was. Because it really was that night. He just tore that piano apart. And then when he really cut into the vocals, it was all over. The man sounds extraordinary live. And his range was awesome. His falsetto was really spot-on, and the runs, too. Matt was definitely in his element, much more than most everybody else. So, after Georgia, he went into YFM. And the standing continued. But the swaying started on that song. People were kind of singing along, and waving their little glosticks. I honestly didn't feel like it was de-energized, just the crowd getting into the song. That's one thing I'll say about Portlanders: they can appreciate a good musician. Jazz is huge around here, and people really understand instrumental skills and quality music. I kept hearing buzz that Matt, Allison and Adam were the favorites of the night, and that Matt was CLEARLY the best of the first half of the show. Woah, long paragraph!
So, in my very humble opinion, Matt really owned that stage. If he keeps it up, he'll be one of the most popular Idols after this is said and done. It's a whole different vibe seeing these people live, and you can just feel who clicks with the concert setting. I agree that Allison is born for the stage, and of course Adam has trained his whole life to excel onstage. But Matt's passion and energy just woke up the entire arena. He got 20,000 people on their feet, 20,000 super lad-back Adam fanatics, no less! So, I'm not worried one bit about what's in store for Matt. I know what's in store: SUCCESS!!
We had a blast! They all sound better than I do lol, and they did start the concert with number 10, and work their way up to the best. I actually found myself enjoying a song from each, if not more than one. I loved Anoops soft voice. It sounds better there then on tv. Kris is still my number 1! He sounded great and so did Adam! Let me tell you-Portland loves Adam! I have never heard so many screams! And Matt sure did win my heart over. Allison has, and always will be the best sounding girl out of the 3. I thought Adam and Allison's duet was FABULOUS. It just made everyone wanna dance! We certainly spent a lot of time laughing and singing along! I wish I could go again soon!

Don't know why but I think that part is so amusing, lol, you better click it girl!
Do you think the choreographer for AI is teaching them all the same stuff? Or giving them all the same ideas? Just say no Danny. Not your style at all. Try watching Matt. Nice sexy vibe there. Or better yet, just feel the music and let your body express what you are feeling.
Ummm YEAH! I love watching Matt move! Damn now I have to go back and watch HTH!

I really like and appreciate Oven Mitt's Review...She is one of us and was ACTUALLY there so I know what she say is the TRUTH for real! Thanks for all the wonderful info OvenMitt!!
I decided to make another thread about meeting the Idols because my other post was getting quite long, and this is gonna be a novel within itself!
So, as most of you probably know already, I have a clear favorite, and two even more clear least favorites. For those who don't know, they are Danny and Kris. Keep this in mind for the sake of the story!
Because we arrived too late before the concert to meet the Idols, my BF and I decided to leave the concert early in order to have a good spot to meet the idols. So, we left the concert when Adam started singing "Fame". I was fine with this decision, since I'd already seen who I came to see perform, and I knew Kris prolly wouldn't be able to top Adam's theatrics anyway. And what's more, my BF didn't have a favorite and was just along for the ride; she could have cared less. So, off we went to the loading dock.
We got there and found only about 10 other people waiting. Score! We got the cherry spot, directly across from where the Idols came out of the venue. We had to wait for well over an hour before they arrived, but it was worth it.
The first Idol to come out was Anoop. Anoop was tall yet lean, looked quite handsome in person, and was very polite, softspoken and gentlemanly. We took a pic with him, and I don't know how to insert them into this post for the life of me, so I'll put them on my profile page.
Next was Sarver. I didn't really talk to him, just took a pic. Same with Lil.
Megan and Lil actually came out together. Both are much more petite than they look on television, and, of course, gorgeous. Megan came up to BF and I, and I asked her if she was going to be on Yo Gabba Gabba, the children's show she's talked about wanting to guest star on. She said, "I hope so! My son likes that show." I told her my daughter did too, and that I threw a Yo Gabba Gabba themed birthday party for her. Megan Liked that and thought her son would enjoy that. We just joked about that a little more and then she took a pic with BF and me. P.S. Megan is very pretty in person, which would normally make you want to hate her, but since she was so personable and chill, I was fine with it! Also, her hair smelled good. For some reason I noticed that.
Allison came out and basically bolted towards the crowd. She is also very small, and kind of shy in a way. Very humble, which is in such contrast to her stage persona. She had awesome red hair, but with purple and blue streaks in it. It was long and mermaid wavy. I simply took her pic, and told her that she rocked it out onstage. She said "Really? Aw, thank you" as if I was the first person to tell her this. Adorable.
So, Scott and his hot brother came out. The brother, Todd, was taking pics of Scott with his fans, helping him do autographs and such. It was very sweet. Scott was actually good with the crowd, joking and conversing. He's taller than I expected, and kinda cute in person. I told him, "I loved tha piano duel with you and Matt." He smiled and said, "Oh, you liked that, huh?". And I told him yes, and I was glad after the finale debacle that we got to see it live. He agreed. I left out my personal opinion, which was that Matt won that duel hands down!
Kris came out to medium fanfare, and BF and I tried not to get his attention. We were worried that he'd somehow ask us what we thought of his set and we'd have nothing to say! My BF also had on a gray beanie just like the one he was wearing, and was nervous that he'd see it and come over. He didn't, luckily.
At this point, I was getting antsy, because it was halfway through the meeting period, and no Matt to be seen. As soon as I started getting worried, I spotted Danny coming out of the venue, linking arms with someone. I couldn't see who it was, because they were behind this huge column. But then, they started skipping, yes skipping, down the ramp, and I saw that it was Matt. They must have been on a performance high, because they unlinked arms and ran straight for the crowd in two different directions. It was kind of hilarious. Of course, who would run directly towards me and BF? Danny. Yes, Danny, who we refused to stand up for during his set, who we both loathe passionately. He ran up and grabbed me and the two people next to me and gave a HUGE bearhug. My face was squished in Danny Gokey's bicep for a good four seconds. Great, he's being friendly. He was totally hamming it up with the crowd, dancing and making jokes (or, rather, attempting to make jokes). He lingered right by me for awhile. Finally, because Matt was still ways away, I told Danny he looked like he got into the Portland style, because he had on a plaid shirt with beat up jeans, a wallet chain, and worker boots with the jeans tucked into them. Very Northwest. He loved that bit of attention, so he walked right in front of BF and me and started dancing. The robot. My BF, who doesn't mince words or hold back her opinions, said "I'm not feeling those moves right now Danny." I was shocked, and said "What are you doing, giving crap to Danny?". Danny said, "Oh, you don't like that? Well, what about this?" and started salsa dancing. I said I liked that better, but BF was still not impressed. She said "Man, you need to work on your moves!". Danny was intrigued and told her she was making him blush. He got closer, and he was smiling. She said "I have that effect on people". I was witnessing Danny Gokey flirting with my friend! It was all sorts of uncomfortable. I told him that she was supposed to be my wingwoman for the night, and wasn't she doing a good job? Gokey responded to that with another bearhug, for me and BF. I seriously thought he was gonna ask her out or something. So, it turned out that Danny, the guy we couldn't stand, turned out to be extremely charming. Go figure!
So, as Danny was flirting, Matt had gotten close. P.S. Matt was wearing the green striped Idolatry shirt, with blue jeans. And if y'all didn't hear, he got a sort of Ryan Tedder fauxhawk haircut. It looked hella good on him, I must say. So, my BF said, "I'm gonna yell out for him. I'm only doing this because he's your favorite." So, she belts out, "Hey Matt, will you come take a picture with a Bad Girl?". Y'all know about the Bad Girls, one of Matt's fangroups. Well, I'd made a mix CD with songs dedicated from all of us, as well as some other little trinkets, and wanted to give them to him. When Matt heard 'Bad Girl' he kind of perked up and stopped. He "Yes I can!" and started walking backwards while still signing an autograph to where we were standing. He was not looking at me, so I grabbed his arm and leaned in. I asked him "I have Bad Girl gifts for you. Are you allowed to accept them?". And he kind of made a pouty face, like his was trying to hear what I was saying. When he processed it, he smiled and said "Of course!". So I gave him the gifts, in a ziploc, and he kind of looked at the bag, and nodded in approval. So, then BF said let's take the pic. So Matt leaned in and put his arm around myarm, kinda holding onto my elbow. I noticed since I was close to his face that his mole was gone. There was just a small horizontal scar where it used to be. He asked me "So you're a Bad Girl, huh? What's your number?" I got a tad flustered at that but told him. He was looking me right in the eye, and I got kind of thrown off by the eye contact. And as we took the pic, he kept holding, and said "It's always good to have my Bad Girls come out and support me." Yeah, the feeling's mutual, Matt. So, he thanked me for the gift, and kind of waved it in his hand, and then he bounded off to meet more fans. I wish I'd been able to tell him that he killed onstage, but he was a little boisterous, running around like a kid! I was glad he settled down long enough to take that pic with me. But, I was so happy that he was happy. I could tell that he was in his element, and that he knew he'd done well. It was all good.
Anywho, so after that whole experience, Adam was (of course) the last to come out. He had this handler that kept telling fans that they could only take pics of him, not with him. Maybe they were afraid of Adam getting grabbed and pulled at or something. It was strange. But, He was sweet, telling everyone that it was because he wanted to make time for everyone. He's super tall, yet lean, in person. Yes, he had on lots of eye makeup, but it looked good in person. Glittery and smudgy. BF and I are both former makeup artists, so we told him we approved of the makeup. He laughed and thanked us. I also said I loved the leather coat we wore onstage, and he said "I know, right?". I had a tiny fashion bonding moment with Adam. I just so happened to be holding my ticket, and Adam snatched it out of my hand and signed it without my prompting. That was actually the only autograph I got. Hopefully it will be valueable one day!
That's my story. It was incredibly long, but y'all know I don't do well with brevity. There were just too many good details to leave them out, anyway! I really hope everyone else who gets to attend the concerts will have as good an experience as I did.
You can see the excitement in Matt's eyes. He and Danny were monkeying around the whole time.
Woah, those eyes are so green.
Noopkins being a polite Southern gentleman.
Sarver was very thankful to all the fans. I heard him keep saying that.
Noopkins! He was towering over me. Super sweet guy
Uh......I could only muster a random pic of Kris. I really wanted to avoid an awkward interaction.
Lil was so cute in person. The booty is much smaller than it looks. She didn't talk much, just posed.
Allison, with her good rocker hair. Very small and unassuming in person, but a powerhouse onstage!
Adam and his handler. He was tall, tall, tall and really does have a striking presence.
I call this the "BFF" pic. Megan really is a down chick. I find her realness refreshing.

OK..Time to do some more "obsessing" over the HTH Video and the YFM Video...!!!!!!! o@*%3*(@)...OMG..he flusters me..the man literally flusters me watching a damn VIDEO of him!! LOL
ok..so here's the deal for me...I know jenna you said your favorite part of HTH is when he does the thing with the mic in the beginning..well my favorite is and let me know if anyone else loves this part??..When he takes the mic from the stand and does his little "strut" or Stroll mind you up to the front...OMG! he walked with such confidence like he owned that stage and had been doing it forever! Amazing! Turns me ON!! haha
then the other thing that just did "IT" for me is during the song YFM and when he goes into that soft singing at the end and does that really high note!!! YIKES!!! I need a shower after watching that..for real....I'm speechless..I gotta go watch it again

Very short clip of HTH but cool because it's mostly the piano solo and the sound is really good.
