OK, I found more reviews from Adam fans who really like Matt now, too. These are two from the MyIdol forum:
from angiebatis: Matt has a lot of soul and some great moves. He is amazing on the piano!
from mtsoprismtn: MATT>WAS REALLY SOULFUL AND 'GEORGIA ON MY MIND' WAS FREAKING MIND BLOWING... MATT REALLY BELTED OUT THE TUNES! SCOTT AND MATT DUET WAS FANTASTIC!
Those Adam fans are really warming up to Matt nowadays, huh? Seriously, they tend to give Matt higher praise than Kris. Some have been saying Kris is too low-key and his wardrobe looks cheap!
And then, I have noticed some of them have been saying that Matt is 'soulful'! Oh, hell yeah! We have known that since that Hollywood week episode! What did Matt say to Michael Slezak? "If I had a piano right here, I know I could make you like me!" Yup, look how many more people now realize Matt's talented once they see him jamming on the piano. Matt's like playing piano at the speed of light, especially when you compare him to Scott! Matt keeps impressing every night!

I found a late review posted at the MyIdol forum. This person was already a Matt fan, but she (he?) looks like a bigger David Archuleta fan.
unicorn4 wrote: matt- what can i say? he was amazing. matt immediately got the crowd on its feet for his his first song and the energy was incfredible. he was the first idol to really get the crowd interested. matts second and third songs were good as well although it did seem as though he let a bit of the crowds attentiveness go halfway through the set, but it is expected as the second and third songs have a completely different feel from the first. he is way better live than on tv. 5/5 (biased, of course lol)
By the way, this reviewer gave a 5/5 rating to only Matt, Danny and Adam, while she gave Kris only s 3/5! Even though she was already a Matt fan going into the concert, she did seem pretty objective about everything else. So I guess her review sounds credible to me! HAHA

Matt Giraud, Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were not only excellent – better, in fact, than they had been on TV, if that's possible – but were markedly different from each other. In earlier years, it seemed as if all the singers tried to sing like each other. Or, rather, like the Righteous Brothers or Whitney Houston.
We're glad we saw the concert. But we'll be even gladder when we get solo albums from all of the top six. Every one of them promises to be remarkable.
I hope Matt Giraud sings a lot of covers of old standards, because he does them so wonderfully

I love reading reviews where Matt is considered to be at the same level (or close to) as Kris and Adam, since they already have record deals. Also, I agree that since the show has been emphasizing "artistry", the contestants have been more unique and are musicians in addition to singers (in comparison to the early seasons of AI).
