Questions about Past Idol Concerts?

This season of Idol has been the first year I've ever gone to a concert or have even remotely followed one so extensively as this one (thanks to this awesome site) but anyways I have a few questions I was wondering if someone can answer. So who all has been to past idol concerts and in past season's have the idols been as close as all of these guys seem to be now? I mean with the whole Manoop, Manny, Kradam, etc. etc...and they keep saying they are like one big family and stuff. Did all the other Idols act like these guys do?? I guess what I'm really trying to ask is, everything that's been going on during the tours pretty standard of what goes on every Season on tour? I mean I would think after being together so much, day in and day out that people would clash a little and not everyone would be so buddy buddy and like each other. I guess one awesome thing about this season is we now have TWITTER with the bubble tweets and stuff which really makes it seem like you can be closer to the idols whereas before twitter I would think it might have been kinda boring to follow past idols and stuff?? Another thing is alot of people have commented that this season's tour has been sooo much better as far as the whole production goes, the stage, etc..is this also true??

The other thing I was wondering ..did David Cook, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, etc. all have like fan forums/sites like this that people flocked too when all the tours were going on and did these sites just go away after a while or do people still post on them daily??? I was also wondering does Danny, Anoop and Adam have the exact same type of forum/fan sites that we have here and people that post all sorts of crazy stuff like I us?? I guess in my mind I want to think we are a "special" group of women! haha....as you can tell I haven't really tried going into anyone else's fan sites because I'm too in Love with Matt. I hope these aren't stupid questions but I'm just curious because this whole following Matt thing has been really exciting for me this summer and I was thinking, damn have I been missing out on this the whole time???

I've been to concerts for Seasons 5 and 6, and though Season 8 hasn't made their way to me next, I'd say that all experiences are different. But when it comes to the closeness of contestants, I'd say that Season 6 seemed very close, especially Chris Richardson and Blake Lewis (Cake), and Season 5 Daughtry and Ace Young (Chace), Elliott, Bucky and Taylor, were super tight. Those Seasons were sponsored by Pop-Tarts and they'd have promotional videos where you could see them all interact and display their personalities, so it was pretty cool. I actually think this season has had more drama between contestants than in years past.

When it comes to production I'd say that Season 6 was better than Season 5, by far. It sucked though because the year Jordin won was a pretty unpopular one compared to the Greats like Elliott Yamin, Chris Daughtry, Taylor Hicks. Season 6 had a format that was unpredictable, much more group numbers, and great singing overall. Season 5's was kinda boring in comparison, especially since they sang fewer current songs. But yeah, that's just my opinion lol.

I don't know about forums like Cook, Carrie, or Kelly, but Elliott Yamin's fans did that after he was eliminated 3rd place (ROBBED). I actually became member #38 of the E-Train, which now has maybe a couple thousand members and recently became Elliott's official fan page. It was really popular that summer and the year following as Elliott got signed, released music, big radio hit with Wait For You...but ya know it goes up and down.

Thanks for all this info Janizzle..Yes that did help! So I guess the whole combining name thing didn't just start this year huh? I thought that was something new.. also I guess all the contestants do bond from being on tour together..hmmmm..i guess I will maybe have to go check out some of these other fan sites sometime just to see what else is up! As you can probably tell I live a very boring sheltered life!! hehe
