Have you guys been reading the transcripts of the other contestants? A couple of things surprised me. First, Michael Sarver says he was closest with Danny - Really? Secondly, he doesnt want to do country put contemproary pop like the Fray? Again, really? How?
Scott also wants to make music like Gavin DeGraw, John Mayer? Its like they all want to be Matt!

OMG I almost peed my pants laughing so hard. Scott...Gavin Degraw, John Mayer? LMFAO! He could never pull that off. Of course Michael couldn't pull off the Fray either. I thought Michael liked R&B?

He also mentions R&B. I just don't see him any of that. Just like I can't see Anoop doing contemporary R&B either. Anytime he tried it on the show, he sucked - it was the ballads that he did well but he doesn't want to do them. That is why I totally agree with MTV's take on Matt vs. Anoop gettiing signed. Matt has an identity that suits his talent and he is contemporary in his sound, look, appeal. But of course, I'm preaching to the converted.

Yes,it was hilarious, Scott with his Gavin DeGraw direction and Michael Sarver with his Justin Timberlake style poppy music...

Scott and Michael are clearly delusional--Michael more so than anyone. I thought he was supposed to be the R&B guy then he butchered a Temptations classic. The Fray?? He doesn't even play an instrument, does he? I'm not surprised he's close to Danny considering the "godly" love they have for each other. Scott's problem is that unlike John Mayer and Gavin, he can't sing!

I swear when I heard Michael say the Fray and Scott say Gavin Degraw ( silent

), I had to restart my laptop because I was sure something had gone terribly wrong with it, and it was mixing up signals and putting quotes where they did not belong.
Imagine my surprise when i came back to find that it was indeed not the fault of my poor laptop... Neutral

I keep saying that I feel like I went through the lookingglass with this season of Idol! I am dumbfounded when I hear negative critiques of Matt, I was dumbfounded when Kris won Idol, and I am continuing to be dumbfounded by all these guys who suddenly want to sing The Fray? Uh....wasn't it kind of established long ago that Matt is the only one in the group that has the chops, not to mention the balls, to perform that kind of music? None of these jokers have even attempted anything close to that genre, and when Kris did it (well, Apologize isn't The Fray, but similar), it was another person's choice (and he didn't execute it well).

Maybe being around Matt again has turned all these kids Single White Female. I know Matt has a magnetic personality, but damn!

Don't know wether to laugh or get mad! It's just so...I mean how credible do they think look/sound when trying to portray themselves as soulful rockers?? It's really pathetic in a way.

yeah, some men can grow another 2 to 3 inches after high school. My husband is 5'11...maybe it's just he tv, but Matt seems taller..but 6'0 is only one inch taller than 5'11 LOL. So no biggy I guess. Gosh I guess the annointed one must be only 5'5 or 5'6! What a little munchkin! Very Happy
