Wow thanks for letting me know. I don't go to the Idol site much anymore....I'm usually here instead. Just voted and will keep voting. Matt is in the lead. What is this? Anoop's style is nothing compared to Matt's. What is wrong with people!!!!!

Anoop is too preppy for me! And his voice really is not that great. I've listened to them in my car and truly it's not...just keeping it real.
Matt is such much more talented, cool, and genuine. Matt has great style...

That poll was just taken down from the homepage today. Last time I checked, I think that Matt was ahead with 50%, Anoop had 43% and Megan had 8%. Very Happy

I do think they use the polls, along with things like song counts on myspace, to gauge people's interest in a contestant. I think the Idol "Machine" is definitely all about marketing.
I checked the site around noon and with some of my "power voting" got Matt to 52% while Anoop was at 42% and Megan at 8%.

ITA. I think record companies will take note of the polls, how many plays on their MySpace pages and how many replies are on the AI board (since that is the official AI fan forum). That's why I like to post on My Idol even after the finale because I want to keep Matt's forum as active as possible. Interestingly enough, Adam has more posts than all the other 12 finalists combined. However, Kris is far behind in 5th place with less than 30,000 replies. Anoop is in 2nd place, Danny close behind is in 3rd, MATT IS SOLIDLY IN 4th place, then Kris, then Allison. I think that 4th place out of 13 people should show that Matt is very likeable, marketable, etc. sunny
