That's awesome! A lot of us on here were at the Caledonia show too and then went to his afterparty! I love Matt! He cracks me up and he's the nicest guy I've ever met. I definitely miss him and can't wait to go back!

Aww that's great hope we get the chance to meet and welcome to our Community! I am so excited to hear Matt with a band!

Thanks, would love to meet some of the people from here as well. Matt G played a few times with my boyfriend's band when their keyboard player Davey (the one in the pic with Matt on his twitter pic today) couldn't make a few gigs. He did a great job, so when he was on Idol we definitely rooted for him. I went so far as to get a prepaid ATT phone (had my own cell on another carrier) so that I could text vote When I told Matt that he was like, "You're kidding, I love you girl!" Haha. Anyway, when he and Davey (I presume that's how it went) cooked up the idea for them to back him for these shows, I was like sweet! I saw him in the early show at the Caledonia church in November and knew the songs would be great with a band. According to my bf (also Matt, so this could get confusing, but he's Matt Y)... anyway, he said the rehearsals have gone really well. They had dinner last night before rehearsal and he said he couldn't remember the last time he laughed that hard. Matt (G) is hilarious...one of those people that tells stories so well you laugh until your stomach hurts. Anyway they met up this morning at my house and headed to the airport super early. I was surprised they were all on time...being they are males...and musicians, but amazingly they were ready and loaded and off on time. The show in AZ should be a blast.

I'll let you know if I get any updates, but they'll probably tweet more than I'll hear from *my* Matt. He's not much a talker on the phone haha. I figure call about emergencies, txt if I have a question, and otherwise....yack when he's back in town. I'm having a spoil myself night alone anyway. Yummy take out from Gaia (for the non-locals to GR that's a divine cheap little vegetarian restaurant here...it's not that I'm vegetarian, but I can take it or leave it with meat...not a necessity for me in a meal and the food from this place rocks) and watching a movie. Our Westie Coconut is on the recliner with me between my knees. Ahh, life is good!

Hey, I'd love to come to the Olive Garden, but I am not sure if I can just yet. I am trying to find out from Matt (bf) what the deal is on a pass for me and if I have to be with him at load in or whatever or if I can just show my ID to get a pass or something later. I know he's been shooting back and forth e-mails to iron out what the deal for me will be. If I can come, I will though! Which Olive Garden is it?

My bf is the guitarist "between" the 2 keyboards from the vid perspective. Also Davy (SJ's keyboard player that used to work at Monaco) posted a ton of pics. I am not sure if those are publicly shared on FB since I'm "friended" by him, but here's a link to it if you all can see it

BTW, I'm still a maybe for the dinner. We're still ironing out the details of load in, transportation, after party and all that, so I don't know where I'll be when and with what vehicle! D'oh! I know the "boys" have a limo, but I am not sure yet how that is working with the other logistics or if I'll be sharing a ride with the other guys' girls. I do know this....I won't be working Friday. That will help some with the up in the air plans.

McFaddens is right in downtown GR, next to the Van Andel Arena, where the AI concert was played this year. It is also one of the venues that Matt played before GR. Hello everyone,

Well, up till today I was praying for a miracle that I would be able to make the concert tomorrow. I have had two tickets for a while now, but then my niece's court date got moved to today and tomorrow.

Her ex-husband is suing her for custody of their almost six year old son (whom he readily gave her full custody of 4-1/2 years ago when she left him). His family are mega-rich control freaks who are trying to bankrupt our family by postponing and drawing out this trial several times over the past year. I hate to admit I was hoping for just one more postponement so that I could go to Michigan

I am a witness for her (and would be in the courtroom to support her regardless), so I'll have to miss the concert. I was still hoping during court today that the judge would see how ridiculous this suit is and would throw it out and I could still make the concert. But as it turns out the case is still on for tomorrow (that's when I'll be witnessing).

This trial has been going on since January 09, and of 365 days in the year for the final court date to be, I can't believe it's now.

I'm so nervous for my niece, and so bummed that I'm missing this concert, and so tired from being so wrapped up in the crazyness of this case for so long.

I wish I could be there to meet all of you. Please have the most wonderful time and let me know every detail. I doubt that I'll even be able to listen to the cellcast, as the judge said today to plan on a very long evening tomorrow because he isn't going to carry this over to next week. I'll be with you in spirit - have a white chocolate martini for me and tell Matt that pasnthru sends her love.
