Hmmm. I think that's very interesting Jenna.
You may be right, but I dunno what to think at this moment to be honest with you.

Matt might just be in the same boat as Anoop but he doesn't want to say it like that maybe not to dissapoint fans, although I wish he would so we would know the truth already. I think he should be honest about this.
Right now all Matt does is to switch topics to this Yobi thing all the time he is asked the question so who knows what is really going on.

I was also thinking anyone here was a Jason Castro fan last year? When Jason got asked about recor deal on tour what did he say? Just wondering.

This for me is actually very positive! I really think there is something going on, but he can't go into specifics - the only thing he can be specific about is the YOBI deal and that is why always jumps right to it whenever he is interviewed about his plans. His dream is to play and sing he always states this and he won't abandonne his true calling :-)
And I think that it's true that he is always really quiet about what goes on - so prolly just being wise - OH he is one smart cookie (does that apply to guy lol?)

I will say that this does make me feel a little better about Matt, though. You are right Jenna that he never has out right said there is no interet, or he is not speaking to or negotiating with anyone. I remember him saying he was "talking to people" and this may mean something good is trying to work itself out (and he said this before staples). Almost everyone (Danny, Anoop, Michael, Matt) kept repeating that the staples show was their biggest of the summer because alot of "industry" people were going to be in attendance. It makes me feel good that Matt seemed Happy and proud of his set that night (both he and Sarver mentioned him having a moment). And from videos of that night Matt was his best to date, and had the crowd really responding.

I would imagine that any credible label at least considered and checked him out that night. 1. He landed 5th place
2. his set was paired with 5 obviously inferior ones, so he definately stood out
3. He has a nice sized fanbase (not the size of Danny or Adam, but is gaining more fans with every show)
4. His i-tunes sales were nothing to sneeze at after the finale (where he was clearly all but ignored by TPTB)
5. He's young, current, and easy to market (already made friends in the business). Just put him in front of a camera and he can charm just about anyone (something Danny Gokey could obviously learn to do)

So I don't doubt at all that they checked him out. I think the question at this point is who he is talking too, and how close to that deal is he?
