Love this quote:

"I’m already putting some gigs together back in my Grand Rapids area, and all over Michigan when I get back from tour.

I’d love to make an album. I’d love to be back performing and just have a busy, busy schedule, after tour. I’d like to play everywhere, all over the country, like my own kind of shows, too—put a band together. I wouldn’t mind playing churches, small theatres, more intimate settings. That would be fine with me. That would be success in my eyes."

Matt is already a success in my eyes. He is so humble and appreciative. He is willing to work hard to make it and has the passion to do it. cheers

"all over Michigan" - yehaw! I have always loved living in Michigan - it is a beautful state - but now more than ever!

About Michigan,
MJ was asking what questions she should ask the Idols and this makes Michigan sound very tasty !

Quote :
For Matt: Michigan is soooooo awesome, with I don’t remember how many lakes, delish blueberries, sweet cherries and yummy apples. Aside from your home state, what’s been your favorite destination, either that you’ve visited on the tour or at some other time of your life?

Aww, I love to hear Matt's view of success! See? He has such a great head on his shoulders. I don't think Matt would be happy if he was playing music and never had a break to know the impact it was making on people's lives...or never had the chance to play in an intimate setting and see the faces of the people in the crowd. His view of success may seem quite humble by worldly standards...but most of the greatest artists/musicians I enjoy are like that as well - Ray Lamontagne, Brooke Fraser, Jason Castro, Sufjan Stevens, Priscilla Ahn, Eva Cassidy - these people create quality music that touches the soul and isn't just about the glitz and glammer. I believe Matt can put out the same. Smile
