Nick Lippman tweets

Anyone want to speculate on the meaning of the tweets from Nick Lippman yesterday and today? Hope it is about Matt... It seems likely given that he arranged a Mercedes for Matt Tuesday night and sent this last tweet this morning...

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been here. Haven't had much time lately and I am still trying to catch up with all the new songs Matt performed at his concert! I am loving "Baby Girl" and " Always Remember You" quite a bit. My favorite is "Gimme a Break".

Anyways..

I really really hope Mr.Lippman is indeed talking about Matt.
I always thought Matt needed at this point someone who could guide him through the music business and help him get a record deal. He just might have found that person.

Hopefully Mr. Lippman gets him a great record deal. He deserves it so much! I bet they are recording stuff now to show it to
the big wigs!

I saw Matt's interview where he says that a couple of major labels were interested in listening to him. So who knows? This sounds very positive! Crossing fingers!

Sorry I haven't been making comments lately but I haven't had much time lately, you know family duties.. But one thing for sure!
I will always support Matt in everything he does.. I believe in his talent so much...

I'm almost embarrassed to post this, but I discovered the following additonal clue on twitter from Jim McGorman (http://www.jimmcgorman.com/). If Nick Lippman was in the studio with Matt on Wednesday, then this tweet refers to the same session. I've always wondered what happened to Matt's music he wrote with Michele Featherstone since he has never performed it.

I just happened to notice that Jim McGorman was tweeting about Matt. On Jim's website, it shows that he was part of the band on the Rockstar series, and like Michelle, he has written a bunch of music for television, both of them for Smallville and One Tree Hill. Jim and Michelle seem to be friends. He also has toured with various people (most recently Avril Lavigne), is a producer and studio musician, and has released his own music with a band called Jamestown. Matt co-wrote with Michelle before, so maybe Matt wanted to work with her again and she brought Jim along?

I can't find a connection between either of them and Nick Lippman. Based on your earlier thread on Nick Lippman, he was added to Matt's twitter account when Matt was in Nashville. So Nick could be connected to one of Matt's Nashville co-writers?

That's all I got...

hahaha..ya I almost felt like I was stalking Mr Lippman there for about 24 hrs..cuz I kept watching his twitter after Matt said he was letting him drive his benz plus I already knew that Matt was following him. After I asked him if matt was the amazing piano guy he was talking about he just sent back a smiley face so I'm sure he was there with Matt then.

I just hope that all these peeps and connections in LA and Nashville are going to bat for him..Matt so deserves a break and like NOW!

Lisa -- Cool that you sent that note to Nick Lippman! The smiley Nick sent back shows to me that he got the reaction he wanted.

I know it is hard for us all to have to wait for Matt CD news, but Matt is definitely working with a bunch of A-list people in the music business. Clearly they all believe in his potential for success, and would not be wasting their valuable time on him if they didn't think it would bear fruit. Also, I keep wondering how he is financing some of what he is doing, like recording in the Sony studios, for example. Does he have some financial backing? Or are people pulling major favors on his behalf? Either way, it is a really good sign.

I do hope the trip back to LA in a month will include meetings with studios! He certainly has plenty of solid music now.

I always wonder who is financially backing him up with the recording? Is he paying all those studio sessions by himself or maybe this guy Mr. Lippman believes in his talent so much like the rest of us that he is helping him fund the studio while he gets signed.
I agree that with the music he has already he can go to those labels and they will be impressed! It's about time Matty G gets a break. Crossing fingers everything works out when he is back in LA.
