Yay for 3 songs and being in many other numbers as well! I can't wait. Damn I wish we knew what he was singing. Allison, Danny, and Adam all said at least one song they were seeing. Come on Matt give us some hints!

Probably Georgia on My Mind - he pretty much gave that one away... I'd really love to see:

1. Georgia
2. Black Magic Woman
3. Simple Man or Have a Little Faith in Me

whatever he does will be LOVE... i just can't wait to see him on stage again! cheers

Me either! I'd love to hear sing all 3 of those songs but I'm pretty much game for anything except JT...sorry JT fans!

One song I'd like to hear though would be 100 years by Five For Fighting. Probably not on the tour but sometime!

Something New? Matt also did "Gimme One Reason" in Hollywood as his second song. That might be a great song for tour? Another really kind of slow bluesy song is "Bring It On Home To Me"-- (Sam Cooke saaang it so maybe time for a remake?)--Kind of reminds me of "Who's Loving You" even though it's an older song. Also like the idea of 100 Years- a fave!

I actually hope he sings:

Georgia
So Small ( he has to sing this one! It's his song now!)
Human Nature ( I just love his version of this song) or Part Time Lover.

But... He is going to sing a new song so I hope he does Gavin's "Chariot" or something by The Fray. Maybe he can do some John Mayer too.
Oh the possibilities.

I want him to sing something current too because that way he can show what kind of music he will put out. So either Gavin, John Mayer or The Fray would be perfect. JMHO. Very Happy

I agree that Georgia on My Mind is a lock for the tour. I'm less certain, but he might do So Small or Part Time Lover. I think his third song will be something more uptempo because I think he might want to get up from the piano and interact with the audience more. Very Happy

He said in his Comcast chat that he would not be doing a "duet" with Kris, but that he would be doing "some stuff together". I interpreted that to mean that Kris and Matt would be singing together in group numbers, along with the rest of the finalists. If we're lucky maybe they would do a song with just Kris on the guitar, Scott on the piano and Matt on drums. You know, highlight the real musicians from the show! Like a Star @ heaven

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm praying to the Idol Gods that this happens..... I would fall over dead if he sang any Sam Cooke.... cheers

3. Give Me One Reason...

He did say he'd do a song not on the show... so that really leaves the door wide open.
I'm sure whatever he decides, it'll be great.

It'll be a great MOMENT in the show for Matt to play Georgia...I'm so excited at the prospect!! As for other songs, I think he needs a song that lets him move around the stage, so he HAS to do Part-Time Lover...I hope he does the shoulder pop! And I think he will definitely do a more contemporary song. Maybe something by The Fray? I'd love to hear him sing How To Save a Life...mmm the piano intro!

The great thing about Matt is that he could do just about anything on that stage and come out on top! I have no idea what to expect from him, which makes it all the more exciting, due to his immense talent and creativity Smile
