Matt first post Idol show in Janurary!!

What do you guys thinks?? Great news right? I mean for him to be working on putting shows together for after this tour. I went to the Fine arts center website and it is a really nice venue. Intimate, but a nice size for alot of Matt's fans to be there Here is their website: http://www.fhfineartscenter.com/home.html

Clint Black, Michael McDonald, Three Dog Night, Golden Dragon Acrobats,and Phoebe Snow are some of the acts that Have performed there as well. I am thinking this is better news than the YOBI because he actually gets to showcase himself and his music to his fans (as well as present some new material which I am really excited about). He also hints that he is working on putting together more shows so YAY finally the full MATT tour that we have been anxious for!

I feel really good about him making plans like this, it makes me more confident that he knows exactly what he is doing and is not sitting around waiting for something to happen but is going for it. HOPEFULLY news of a record deal and his album will come soon, it is looking more and more possible...

I was so excited when I saw this. It is a very nice venue. Hopefully he will put on more shows in MI (and elsewhere?).

I was disappointed in reading how the tickets will be sold. It may be hard to get them. They go to season ticket holders first and there is no limit on how many tickets they can buy. I know some people in that area so I will have to get on this. Some season ticket holders will probably buy them and sell them so that would work too. How amazing to see him at a solo concert with the place full of HIS fans.

I am so happy that he is doing these solo shows! I am pretty sure it can't but just go up from here. Much more promising than the YOBI thing for sure. JMHO.

Anyways.. I just hope that by January he is already signed and working on his debut album because he hinted he would be performing original material so that makes me wonder if something is already going on.

You are right! He is not waiting for things to happen, he is getting on it and that's the way it he should go about...
I also think that the record deal thing is looking more and ore possible each day. It's just a matter of time as I say.

When I woke up this morning, I checked my news alert for any Matt updates, and I couldn't believe it! HAHA! I was so excited I was screaming 'Yes! FINALLY!'

The first thing I thought of after reading the article is that the FHFAC is going to be inundated with phone calls and e-mails requesting tickets for Matt's FIRST SOLO CONCERT! I think its membership is going to SKYROCKET after Matt fans hear about how you obtain tickets. LOL Seriously, I was considering becoming a member, just so I could be assured some of those tickets.

Are any of you guys who live in/near Michigan going to TRY to get tickets? I can only imagine how difficult it would be for anyone who isn't a season ticket holder at the FHFAC!

I was waiting for Matt to make an annoucement, and I'm glad that he's "giving back" to the community/ Michigan. For some reason, I think this is a good sign that he will be signed to a record deal by the end of the tour. Honestly, Matt and Danny have been getting most of the positive reactions from fans who have seen the tour (I'm not counting Kris/Adam/Allison who are already signed). If Danny gets signed to a country label (or whatever!), Matt can't be far behind! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

Ok so how do we become members? How much does it cost? Maybe someone in the area can become a member by everyone wanting to go contibuting to the cost and then the new member can purchase tickets for us?

Jenna this is the first thing I thought!!! I don't know but I'm sure in the hell gonna be looking into this but I'm kinda like grrrrrr because I feel like if your not a member its going to be hard as hell to get them!!?? ..I live close enough to MI to definitely go to ANY and EVERY show matt does there but now I kinda feel like this sucks cuz there is a "catch"!!


I think its a good thing but I also agree that I bet you anything this place doesn't realize what its got itself into!! They are definitely going to be SNOWWWED with calls now!!

omg, I couldn't believe how cheap the tickets are for his show! The article in the paper yesterday was very confusing as to when they will be available and how, but the prices are really, really good. I must pursue this...

Okay, I see elsewhere that they don't go on sale to the general public until October 26...hmmm, you're right...wonder if there'll be any good seats left by then.

Yea peacehope but the "catch" is the season subscribers have first debs on the tickets so I'm going to be looking into how much a subscription costs because I bet you anything tickets are going to go really, really fast and acourse there is always going to be people that know people that are season subscribers, etc. etc.. so this worries me!

I live in Ohio. Whereabouts do you live? I am definitely going unless something crazy happens. I will definitely provide a cellcert if someone can broadcast it. We can use the TVBlog I signed up at and placed on the homepage. All you would need is a webcam to broadcast it.

The article said that Matt will be performing his songs from the tour, maybe Human Nature, and "some original music". Doesn't that sound like Matt knows he'll have a solo album ready by January, or is it just wishful thinking?

OMG..I'm sooo excited because I just spoke to a woman from MI on the phone who knows Matt personally..her daughter was a good friend of his in HS!! ..I've been doing my homework. The lady I talked to works at the Fine Arts Center. Here is the scroop..Season subscriber price is as follows. 1. Orchestra/mezzazi (sp) is 214.00 2. Front Balconey is 194.00 and 3. Rear Balconey is 182.00 You get 5 shows for this price BUT i don't believe this includes Matt's show..you have purchase those tickets separately. She said she is sure they will still have tickets available to the public on Oct 26th..(only available thru ticketmaster or in person at the fine arts center) ..she said even if you got a balconey seat they would still be great seats because its a small venue..(only seats 1200 ppl) ...sooo it sounds like to me that you just gotta get online first thing in the morning (10-26) to purchase tickets. It sounds rather pricey to buy a subscription when your not going to be using it for anything but Matt!! I think this Lady thought I was funny..I told her about "our group" and she said Matt is a very special guy and she thinks he is just awesome and well acourse I agreed with her!! ok..well gotta run..just wanted to give you all this info!

I agree. I was thinking about this show more last night, and how it's held at a fine arts theater. Hopefully it will have great acoustics, and with the smaller size, I'm hoping that every seat is a good seat.
