It was still good, but it just did not have the power of the other two performances. Perhaps it is the hats. They contain Matt Kryptonite. Or Perhaps Kara is right and “The Fray” is not for him. In any event, the first song of the set was enough to wipe out the last song from the audience’s collective memory.

OMG MEGANNNN!! I couldn't have said it better about that picture!! I'm sorry but that picture makes me wanna do things to him!! For Real Girls..that is oneeee fineeee man!! That pic is getting printed out and posted on my FRIG!!! And after I look at it I'm gonna have to stick my head in the freezer for awhile!! OH MY LORD! I was showing people this pic at work (non idol lovers) and THREE different women made me email it to them!! Its now the wallpaper on my phone..

Matt is just too adorable!! Sometimes I wonder how so many people could love Adam over Matt??? Well, one of life's many questions!!

Glad to see Matt both Rocking it out on the tour, and impressing all of the fans in person. Total package right here: Charming, lovable, Funny, talented, unique, Gorgeous, Talented, and Talented. Did I mention that his voice is out of this world, and he plays his piano like I have never heard anyone play??? People are catching on...

Okay, people are pretty slow on the uptake. I find it mind-boggling that they are only NOW realizing how talented, charming, vivacious, and passionate Matt is. NOW. Months after Idol ended. How could it be so evident to us and not to everyone else? I suppose I'm happier that it happened later rather than never, but man! I noticed these things immediately. Maybe some people can't see subtlety; they need to be smacked across the face with a 2x4 to pay attention to things. I guess Matt's showing so far on tour is that 2x4. They had to see him live, meet him face to face to get it. By any means necessary, right? Matt has said many times, if he can get you in a room wih him and a piano, he can make you like him. He didn't specify that it would be a room packed with 20,000 people!

Me to -I remember my "2x4 moment" lol and that was his audition. And that just did it for me - true talent.
But I can understand how some may at first have mistaken his shy/timid and humble appearance for lack of confidence, being withdrawn and not having enough stagepresence (my english sucks rigth now!! - it's hard to express it urgh) But I just fell in love with that voice - so I didn't care much about the other things - u might say that my love blinded me lol. But I think he grew during the show - but more with regards to meeting the press, cameras, talkshow - He was never really able to handle the judges and was almost always really nervous. And he sometimes came across as a nervous kid being yelled at by his parents.

But this touring experience - being among fans, getting to show his ability to perform and do what he loves the most - this is letting his true colors shine.

It is funny though have different we all are. But hell even danny is app getting to some of us LOL

Ovenmitt..I couldn't have said it!! I have thought and said many of time that it was so Mind Boggling to me how people weren't getting it??? I think its just because he was so subdued on the show and he let the judges intimidate him to much...But I got hit with the 2 X 4 the minute I heard him open his mouth and sing and like Cecilie he continued to just grow and grow on me until now I feel like everytime I see him sing, speak or just stand there I get hit with a 2 x 4 over and over again!! I think the only thing that makes me mad now is for some reason I can't get my sister and some of my friends too see it also!! But I'm gonna keep trying to convert them!! I just want to shake them and say LOOK AT THIS MAN...HOW can you not love him???

Oh ladies... I so know what you are saying. My 2x4 moment was Hollywood week with White Chocolate and GOMM. I was a goner from then on In the staff lounge at school we have our "night after" chats about AI and there were 3 HUGE Matty fans and the rest were not so hip on Matt. We tried to bring them to the "enlightened" side but failed. Oh, I so wish it wasn't summer vacation--- I could so get even!!! (Hey, maybe this should be a new thread titled "YOUR 2x4 Matt Moment "--
