Matt interview Tomorrow

Warning: I am about to go WAY out on a limb here, but I just got back from a long ass boring class and read these posts and this is the first thing that popped into my head...

What if Matt is signed (or close to signing) with Jive? Ok Ok, but hear me out. He and Allison are in the same place at the same time with the same writers? AND the people they are writing with by all accounts sound like writiers for a Jive type of Label (young, teen/poppy/R&B) So it seems like Matt is starting to get the same push as Allison hence the sudden change from Soul/Rock to Blues? AND he did say 19 was interested, I'm guessing this just didn't go away, so maybe the label that wanted him was Jive?

Ok I understand Matt is not the type of Artist a Label like Jive necessarily takes on, and they already have 2 artists from idol to work with a third would be just more money and work for the label, and yeah I really don't like Jive for Matt, in fact it would be my last choice...

Just talked myself out of being excited about that one ANYWAYS whatever label it is, I think it's pretty clear that a Label seems to be working with Matt now (or someone big is) and if not Jive then maybe just someone from 19?

Lana - I get what you're saying..but Allison and Matt aren't in the same place at the same time right now. Allison had written that she was writing with Dan and Leah in early September (like the 3rd, I think). I did find it neat that they are writing with the same people ...but I'm hoping for a better label for Matt.

Ummm this is one of the songs Daniel Pringle wrote...kind of worried but hopefully they are just bad because he was writing for a young girl!

And thanks Cacity, I guess I just wanted something with Matt and Allison together Anyway can't say I would be heartbroken if Matt is not with Jive. I thought that Tweet you posted from Allison was from today!

Gosh.. All these speculations... I am so excited!
I am with all you guys that there must be a label backing him up right now, I mean he wouldn't set up all these writing sessions by himself with this top songwriters would he?

Could it be Jive? I just can't seem to think that is the one because they already have Kris so who knows?
All I know is that a label is def interested and I hope Matt is signed soon and taken care off!

ETA: Lisa I agree. Matt looks super HOT in this interview. Love the outfit and love the hair! He is so gorgeous.

Eh...I'd take the guy's past work with a grain of salt. Number one, Matt's potential to make a good song >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ashley Tisdale's.
And second, Matt's a musician who's already been doing some writing on his own, so there's bound to be plenty of his own input in there. I don't really know how good of a writer Matt is, but those girls who got a little preview in the lobby during the tour seemed pretty siked about his new songs. Hell, I'm just happy he's in LA working with a professional team of writers. And the same ones that Jive paired with Allison, at that. SWEET.

I have been siked about Matt's music for so long now. I know it will be amazing even with rhyming boy. I'm sure Matt knows what he is doing so I feel ok with his choices of who he is working with but damn LOL that song was bad. But like I said I'm sure the writers were writing the song with a young girl in mine. I know Matt will write incredible music with passionate meaningful lyrics. Is it January yet?

Thanks Cacity for posting the interview and Lana for bringing over the Youtube. It sucks working full time. I miss the days when I could sit at my computer updating the site with all the great Matt stuff! Thanks everyone for helping! It's really important to me that the site stays current. LOL I even bought a new cellphone with internet just so I could keep up but unfortunatly today I was too busy. LOL but I did find time to watch the interview thanks to Cacity posting a link to it.

I'm pretty sure his comment to me about Enya, Slipknot and the Wiggles was a joke...hahaha.

I think he was being sarcastic. The wiggles are a children's program (like Barney). & Enya is a new age artist. Slipknot was just another random genre he threw in there. No worries Lana.

You took the words right out of my mouth - he essentially picked 3 "artists" who are as different from one another as possible.

LOL Oh well as I only recognized Slipknot you could imagine my fear! NO ONE should joke about something like that.

Today was such a good day in the world of Matt-related news!!

I am absolutely ecstatic that he called the sound of his new music "bluesy" - in my world it doesn't get any better than that! To me, Matt's voice was made to sing blues-type music. Yes, I think he excels in other genres (i.e. rock, jazz, even country)... but his voice still sounds bluesy. As Paula said - it's what he is GREAT at! And if "labels" or "writers" are helping him to clarify his nitch - more power to them cuz I love it!

Finally got to sit down and watch the interview! Very exciting! I am positive that Matt is writing great music.! No worries - he's waited this long, I'm going to trust that he is writing exactly the type of songs he wants to write.

That Dan is such a joker - I can just see Matt sitting right next to him telling him what to tweet to keep us on our toes !

So excited, so excited...I must be crazy because I literally had tears in my eyes watching him, I swear I just feel such a connection with Matt - I guess cuz we've been with him throughout this incredible journey!
