Matt just tweeted this an hour ago:

Is this a good sign or a bad sign? I hope he is just saying he is hopeful about his future.

Now that I am reading it again, I think the tweet was positive and uplifiting. Maybe it refers to what he has been through after the Idol tour. JMHO.

I don't think there is any reason to worry. :] It's an inspiring tweet, to either keep HIM inspired, and/or us.

And yes, he recently did tweet that he is back home in kzooo.

Okay, here's my 2 cents. Personally, I think this is a GOOD tweet. To me, it's him letting us know that you never know what life's gonna throw at you or what doors lead to other opportunities.

He always refers back to how a year ago, he was just this small time guy playing piano in a hotel lobby.....now look at how HUGE he's gotten! All these up's & down's he's had in the past year or so....wildcard, getting saved, voted off in the 5th spot, touring the country doing what he loves, and now, most importantly, writing his OWN music with well known singer/songwriters.

I know, if I was him, I wouldn't know how to feel....happy, anxious, blessed....it's a whole package for him. Even with not being in the top 3, he's showing us what he has in him and that he CAN do it. Whether it's with or without a record label. And by the sounds of it, he's quite content without a record label backing him up....so more power to him!!

I guess you are right? But don't you still think he is going to get signed any time now? It seems to me that all these writing sessions and events are behind a label interest. I know he will get signed soon! And I want that to happen because it would be so much easier for him!
I hope the big news comes soon! I can't believe still no one is interested in signing him! Mind boggling.. There must be somethign going on at this point!

I mean, you see how all of fans freak out and get so anxious when he leaves us hanging by his previous tweets. ie: CA to write music, solo show in Nov, etc. I can't even imagine how we all would react if he tweeted a little mentioning of talking SERIOUSLY with a certain label.

I'm sure there's a lot of behind the scenes that go on in signing someone....even if he is talking to a record label or two, I'm sure he's not making it known to the world just in case something were to happen. Not only would we be devastated to hear bad news like that, but I'm sure he would feel like he let us down. So keeping things on the DL might be the case here!

It's only been a month since the tour ended. He was on the road & away from friends & family for quite a long time. Since he's not trapped by a record label pulling him every which way, I'm sure he's trying to make the most of his free time. Don't get me wrong, I think it was totally awesome that he was over on the west coast and performed at Priscilla Presley's foundation AND that he got the opportunity to work with amazing songwriters. But he's young, I'm sure there's some things that he just wants to do back home now that he has the chance!

Ditto Miss Megan... I'm not really worried because I think Matt is going to be just fine BUT I must say I always freak out when he tweets stuff like this because "the mom" in me kicks in and I start thinking OMG ..I don't want him to worry about ANYTHING or EVER be unhappy... ..I know it sounds crazy but all I really want is for him to be HAPPY and I think he is!! I must say though that this Matt Giraud Mania has been like a roller coaster of emotions for me from one day to the next and I think I just want him to be signed so I can say ahhhhhhhh...my boy is in good hands now meaning I just don't want him to struggle anymore because he's just too DAMN TALENTED to continue to go unvalidated by the music industry...but I'm VERY positive about all the things that went on with him in CALLY and I think its just a matter of time! Love Him, Love him, Love him!!

My first, gut reaction to this tweet was, "oh shit - what went wrong"? I feel that something happened that he wasn't too happy about, but Matt's attitude is so amazing and he always tries to spin the negative into a positive, learning experience. That's one of the things I love about him. I hope I'm wrong because I too have that "mom" feeling for him of never wanting him to be upset by anything.

This is pretty much my exact thoughts. And even though Matt is older than me, I often feel that whole "mom" instint with him too We just want him to be happy and I think he is. His career is on the right path, he is doing exactly what I think he should be doing as an unsigned artist. So for now I don't think we have much to worry about (except that he may have caught a twitter bug because he replyed to a month old kris Allen tweet)
