There were more articles but the others just mentioned that he sang with Santana. There was one bad one unfortunately but that is to be expected as not everyone will love him. Silly I know but hey it's them missing out!

WTF now I am even more pissed now. Why in the hell didn't they cut Tatiana et all? We really needed to see that? Who in the hell is going to remember those 3 people come next week. This is such BS Matt was fing 5th place and he got superceeded by a crazy person, a bimbo, and a comedian. Are they Fing out of their minds? Matt was cut for those people? Why doesn't he ever receive the credit he deserves. Shit now I'm crying again! Poor Matt! He didn't deserve that. No wonder he looked upset. Wow I feel so heartbroken for him. I know! Matt was there (along with all of the other idols when he said that) and he just kind of like nodded his head and said something like "yeah, found out today". Again...Seriously American Idol?!

You know what this just makes me love Matt even more and I'm now more determined than ever to support him. I just can't believe this. Wow!

Where is this video! Did he look sad. Well at least he sang the hellout of his 13 seconds. They couldn't give him more time? What was that like his conosolation prize? What is he an after thought now? OMG I am so PISSED!!

Well at least we now know what happened. Not that it makes it better!

Umm, he didn't look happy, he didn't look sad, just kind of blankish maybe? Not too much emotion. I believe they replay AI extra so hopefully you guys will be able to catch it! I really hope we at least find out what the original plans were

Hell he is probably as shocked as we are and hasn't been able to process it yet! Did they talk to him anymore?

Update: Scott just tweeted he was supposed to duet with Billy Joel but he couldn't make it!

Noo they did not talk to him anymore. Just went to commercial and then when they came back Kris came out.

I've just finished watchinG the show. What an underwhelming, anti-climactic finish to what started as a very promising season. Kris winning over Adam is the biggest letdown in Idol history. You can feel the lack of energy in the whole auditorium for that victory. HAHAHAH! Biggest joke ever. Congratulations to Kris fans for creating the worst, most uncomfortable finish to an Idol season.

An even BIGGER joke is cutting MATT from the spotlight. WTF!!??????????? I'm so efffin' angry at stupid AI people! My anger is beyond words. AAAARRRRRRGGGHH! $!&)#(!U#_!()#I_)#!(#

You know what I'm beginning to think those twitter accounts are not true. I can't see Billy Joel singing with Scott on AI. Billy doesn't like American Idol and believes it is the wrong platform to try and make it as a musician. He advised his daughter never to try out. He believes that you have to pay your dues to become a respected musician like he did. And why couldn't he make it?

That's really interesting. And I don't remember reading anywhere that he was rumored to come. Maybe they kept that really hush, hush since it's Billy Joel? Hmmm I really dunno. I guess we'll just have to wait and see

Maybe Matt was supposed to sing with Billy Joel as well but don't you think they would have mentioned that on AI Extra? Well if it is true and Billy stood up Matt I will be so sad because other than Matt and 3 Doors Down Billy Joel is my favorite musician. So if this is true I don't have reason to be angry at AI but with Billy. Ahh I'm so sad because my dream was to see Matt sing and play with Billy Joel!

Besides Billy Joel is on tour with Elton John now. Maybe that is why he couldn't make it?
